Role Overview The Maintenance Inspector is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through structured preventive maintenance (PM) execution, early fault detection, and continuous improvement of maintenance practices. The role focuses on minimizing unplanned downtime, enhancing operational safety, and maintaining production quality standards. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Experience • Technical diploma or vocational certification (Mechanical or Electrical) • 3–7 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance • Experience in preventive or reliability-centered maintenance is preferred • Experience in heavy industrial environments is an advantage ________________________________________ Technical Requirements • Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance systems • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics • Understanding of equipment failure modes and wear mechanisms • Basic knowledge of condition monitoring techniques (vibration, lubrication, thermal analysis) ________________________________________ Core Competencies • High attention to detail • Strong analytical and observation capabilities • Proactive and prevention-driven mindset • Accountability and discipline in execution • Effective communication and escalation skills ________________________________________ Digital Capabilities • Experience with CMMS platforms (PM execution, work order management, asset history) • Basic reporting and technical documentation skills ________________________________________ Language Requirements • English: Professional working proficiency • Kurdish: Native or fluent ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Execute preventive maintenance activities in accordance with approved schedules and technical standards • Conduct detailed mechanical and electrical inspections during PM tasks • Assess equipment condition using key indicators such as vibration, temperature, noise, lubrication, alignment, and wear • Identify early signs of failure and abnormal operating conditions • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of PM activities • Escalate critical issues and potential failure risks to the Maintenance Manager • Recommend corrective actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence • Support condition-based maintenance initiatives where applicable • Ensure accurate completion and validation of PM checklists • Record maintenance activities and findings in CMMS systems • Generate corrective work orders for identified defects • Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including LOTO standards • Identify equipment-related safety risks and ensure no compromise to product quality ________________________________________ Stakeholder Interface • Maintenance Manager • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Team • Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians • Production Team • QHSE Department • OEM Service Providers • Equipment Suppliers ________________________________________ Performance Metrics (KPIs) • Reduction in repeat equipment failures • Preventive maintenance compliance rate (%) • Number of breakdowns linked to PM gaps • Defects identified during PM vs unplanned failures • Volume and quality of corrective work orders generated • Improvement in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) • PM audit compliance results • Safety performance during maintenance activities ________________________________________ Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards is mandatory.
