Role Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation of equipment. The role focuses on minimizing equipment downtime, responding effectively to breakdowns, and supporting overall operational efficiency and production quality. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or vocational certification (Mechanical or Electrical) is an advantage • 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance is required • Experience in heavy industrial environments is an advantage ________________________________________ Technical Requirements • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or instrumentation systems • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment • Understanding of equipment troubleshooting, fault finding, and repair techniques ________________________________________ Core Competencies • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • High attention to detail • Ability to work independently and within a team • Proactive and responsible work attitude • Good communication and reporting skills ________________________________________ Digital Capabilities • Basic experience with CMMS systems is an advantage • Ability to complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately ________________________________________ Language Requirements • English: Basic to professional working proficiency • Kurdish: Native or fluent ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to approved plans • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace equipment components • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime • Identify and report potential equipment issues to supervisors • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure proper use of tools, spare parts, and equipment • Maintain cleanliness and order in work areas after maintenance activities • Follow all safety procedures and ensure safe working practices ________________________________________ Stakeholder Interface • Maintenance Manager • Maintenance Planner / Scheduler • Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians • Production & Operations Team ________________________________________ Performance Metrics (KPIs) • Equipment availability and reliability • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) • Preventive maintenance compliance rate (%) • Reduction in repeated equipment failures • Accuracy of maintenance reporting • Safety compliance and incident-free performance ________________________________________ Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards is mandatory.
